Day 1

Day 2

Excursion to Otterlo
Guided visit to the collection and current exhibition at the Kröller-Müller Museum including the sculpture garden
On the way back to Amsterdam stopover in Drenthe. Guided visit to the Van Gogh Huis in Nieuw Amsterdam
Coffee break in the Van Gogh Huis restaurant
Optional evening concert in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and overnight stay in Amsterdam

Day 3

In the morning, passage to Nuenen, the Van Gogh open-air museum. Guided city tour retracing the footsteps of Van Gogh including a visit to the Vincentre
Lunch in Nuenen
On to Zundert. Guided visit to the place of birth of Van Gogh. Short break in the Brasserie Auberge Van Gogh
Passage to Etten-Leur where Van Gogh lived at his parents´ house. Visit to the Van Gogh Church
Return to ´s-Hertogenbosch.
Evening programme and overnight stay in ´s-Hertogenbosch

Day 4

In the morning guided visit to Het Noordbrabants Museum in ´s-Hertogenbosch
Transfer to Mons
Guided tour by bus retracing the footsteps of Van Gogh through Mons and the Borinage including a visit of House Cuesmes and House Wasmes/Mine de Marcasse, where Van Gogh lived and worked
On the way back stopover at Grand-Hornu and the MAC´s close to Mons. Guided visit of the historic industrial complex.
Evening programme and overnight stay in Mons

Day 5

Transfer to Paris
Guided tour retracing the footsteps of Van Gogh in the heart of Montmartre ending with a lunch at “La Bonne Franquette” where Van Gogh was a frequent guest
In the afternoon, guided visit to the Musée d´Orsay
Free time for excursions and visits
Evening programme in Paris and overnight stay

Day 6

Excursion to Auvers-sur-Oise
Guided city tour of the Van Gogh sites like the Auberge Ravoux, house of Dr. Gachet and the grave of Van Gogh incl. Absinth tasting at Absinthe Museum
Boat tour: Auvers-sur-Oise-Pontoise-Auvers-sur-Oise (1.5 h)
Return to Paris
Option: concert or opera in one of the famous locations
Overnight stay in Paris

Day 7

Departure by train (TGV) from Paris to Avignon
Transfer by bus to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
Lunch in a provençal-style restaurant
Guided Van Gogh tour through Saint-Rémy including a visit of the Musée Estrine and Saint Paul de Mausole
Dinner and overnight stay in Saint-Rémy-de- Provence

Day 8

Passage to Arles with a visit to the Carrières de Lumières in les Baux-de-Provence
Guided city tour retracing the footsteps of Van Gogh through Arles
Visit to the Fondation Vincent van Gogh in Arles
Transfer to Marseille
Evening programme and dinner in Marseille
